Diesel options are already offered by VW, Ford, Renault and Peugeot but Hyundai is looking at launching its version with a starting price of $18,990 which would make it the cheapest on the market by at least $3000. It will also offer it with the choice of a manual or automatic transmission which would give it a distinct advantage overall except for the VW Polo which is available with a seven-speed DSG. The Accent will initially be available with just one power option, a 91kW 1.
