Replacing My Bathroom Vanity Light, Should I Get A Permanent GU24 ...
One friend, who is an architect, mentioned to me that screw-in CFL's don't work great retrofit in all lights, since the lights weren't designed for CFL's, and sometimes early failure will occur, which is why I was doing this. I've had about a quarter of my screw in CFL bulbs (different brands) fail on me in different lights, so that's why I was thinking about this. Hi- looking to replace my bathroom vanity light. So, GU24 CFL light fixture, or traditional. I'd like a traditional looking bar light with frosted shades, nothing too modern. , so I'll be freecycling it. . However, with the growth of LED lighting, I'm not sure if this is the best route. Was initially going to get a fixture with GU24 twist and lock CFL sockets, that will only take CFL bulbs. Also, the existing fixture doesn't work with the new paint, etc....

Wire bath exhust to can light?I have two lights in my bath on separate switches. One switch powers the vanity light, and the other powers a can light over the shower. I am adding an exhaust fan to the bath. Can I wire the ceiling fan off the can light so they both turn on together?
I see no problem with this. In fact, a lot of bathrooms have a light and fan come on at the same time.
