Chapter One: Lily’s Spell
Two kids stood at the access to the great hall of Hogwarts school of magic arguing.
“Trifle with can’t you just leave me alone?” The redheaded girl shrieked.
“Oh upon on Evans give it a chance.” The Black-haired boy complained.
“No James!” She yelled. All the kids walking by were laughing at James Meddle with. Who was a little full of himself. And they never thought he’d be rejected, cause of his popularity and hauteur.
“What’s wrong Prongs? Can’t get the girl?” another dark-haired boy asked.
“Oh mask-up Sirius.” Hissed James.
“Lily give James a unexpected.” Said Sirius.
“Oh you got to be kidding me. James this is the most outstanding you can do?” Questioned Lily.
“No worries you might fall for me sometime.” James said under his stir.
“In your dreams Potter.” Lily snarled.
She walked into the profound hall and looked around. The great hall had floating candles and the pleased ceiling was the exact same as the crystal blue sky. Everyone’s voices clashed together making nothing but rumpus in the hall.
Lily sighed and walked to the Griffiyndor comestible and sat down beside her friend Michelle Transland. Michelle had black ringlets that came to her shoulders and piercing blue eyes.
Her complexion was darned pale due to being the child of a vampire and human.
“Hey Michelle.” Greeted Lily. Lily reached toward some heroine and pumpkin juice.
“Hi Lily.” Michelle said in between bites of breakfast ham.
“Hey Lily look it’s Snivelus.” A boy beside Lily teased. As a abominable scraggly haired boy walked toward the Slytherin table.
“Oh discontinue-up Peter.” Snapped Lily. She was referring to Peter Pettigrew who was friends with James About, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black.
“Ha, ha, ha, ha.” Peter laughed and Lily stabbed her hero with a fork.
“Chill Lily it’s fine Potter’s team is jerks and you know it.” Michelle reassured.
Lily made an angered veneer and ate her breakfast heatedly.
“Hey Lily,” a familiar forum called to her.
“Oh hi Remus.” She growled.
“Wow, you’re a little…”
“Positively it or else Remus.” Warned Lily.
“Fine,” He said walking toward the end of the Griffiyndor columnar list.
“Lily chill now.” Michelle retorted.
“See you in potions realm.” Lily said, slamming her fork down and storming out of the hallway.

“Okay homework for tonight is to work on transfiguring your idea you were given to a rose with thorns and red or white petals. Due next Monday.” Professor McGonagall instructed her year.
Lily scribbled down her homework in her planner. She finished propriety as the bell rang.
“Lily!” James’s representative called to her.
“Leave me alone you arrogant idiot!” Lily hollered.
She started for the dungeons for Potions order as fast as she could.
“Lily!” a different voice cried.
Lily turned around to see Severus Snape winning up with her.
“You run way too fast.” He criticized.
“Yeah sure whatever.” Lily hissed. He looked at Lily inquiringly but she ran down the relaxation of the old stairs and into the classroom.
Severus followed her.
Lily took a sofa beside her other friend Samanthia Grengwall.
Samanthia had Silvery blonde skin of one's teeth and brilliant topaz eyes. Her skin was tan like but olive toned.
Her plaits laid in elegant curls at her shoulders. Her eye make-up was upon green and she had on lip-gloss that made her lips shine. Snape sat down beside Lucius Malfoy another Slytherin boy. Lucius’s skin of one's teeth was snow blonde and shoulder length. He had hazel eyes that had always creeped Lily out.
“Favourable morning class!” A man named Professor Horace Slughorn addressed his lineage.
“Good morning.” The class grumbled groggily.
“What?” he asked brilliantly.
“Healthy morning Professor Slughorn…” The class said louder.
“Bettor.” He said.
“Today we are going to learn the rights and wrongs of Potions. So get out your books please and rotate to page five-hundred fifty-three,” Instructed the Professor.
Lily pulled out her new Potions volume and opened the book up. She glanced up through her Brilliant red hair up at Severus and saw him annoying to open his book carefully so it wouldn’t break. He came from a sterile family and they could only afford a fifty-year-old hand-me-down.
His mien was one of utter disgust at the book. Suddenly Lucius let out a scream of fear and Snape looked at Lucius to see a spider on Lucius’s nose. Lily noticed it was a wonderful-poisonous spider, which was probably the only reason Malfoy screamed.
“Ah!” Lucius yelled.
Severus scooted his run back just in time right as Professor Slughorn screamed,
“Avada Kedavra!”
Everyone froze as the words flew from his muzzle.
The spider fell onto the dark table Snape and Malfoy were sitting at done for.
Lily’s breathing was fast just like everyone else’s. She sighed and her breathing blas.
“Okay so everyone on page five-hundred fifty-three?” Slughorn asked, as if he didn’t murder the spider.

Through interactive sculpture, I am able to create dramatic display pieces that evoke astounding emotional responses. I do this through unpredictable, in days of yore-based artworks that stimulate many of the senses, creating a more frenzied and exiting experience. Much of my work is metaphorical, and it is important to me that the viewer interprets each angle of it subjectively. Though, for the purpose of a proposal for my “???” piece, I will expound some of my more abstract conceptual decisions for materials and construction of it’s consecration.

Firstly, my interest for this particular piece arose after learning about disaster’ occurring in South Africa, and more specifically when educating myself about Darfur and the genocide by the Sudanese supervision. Because malnutrition, disease, violence, infant mortality and inclusive death statistics have improved, the topic has become less of a concern, leaving it old advice to many. However, my work seeks to remind the viewer of the horrific consequences ruinous conflict and extreme poverty still destroying the possibility of a tractable life for these people. It comments on... and more importantly, the children that we have forgotten. Using my marble as a metaphor, I create an overwhelming paradoxical response of both dreamboat and disgust.

The sculpture is made of thousands of hollowed out white eggs. The eggs take on the parallel between the high numbers of pregnancies, and the increased spread of plague, including HIV and AIDS, due to widespread rape and lack of schooling. Metaphorically, one may see the eggs as fertility (high number of children) and also fragility (there isn’t much more insubstantial than a malnourished infant with AIDS). From hollowing the eggs, there are two humble holes on either end, leaving a convenient hole to place a birthday candle. I do this by melting the very profane of the white candles into the hole on the larger end of the eggs. The eggs are then fastened to one another, about three inches singly, with white rubber bands to make strands of eggs. This strands of eggs with betrothed candles are then hung in rows with between one and five eggs each. The birthday candles represents age of downfall, but also the average statistic for infant mortality rates in Darfur, with one in five children expiring before their 5th birthday. The rows are placed closely together, about two inches by oneself, candle side up, and hung from the ceiling. They are attached and spread out evenly by tying the top of each strand to a circle white iron mesh, which is invisible against the ceiling.

The sculpture is all together-based and needs the help of participants to work. I palliate to my participants that we will be lighting each of the candles starting on the inside, bottom eggs first, working our way up to the top of each row and then in motion outwardly. We dim the lights and begin. The lighting of each candle is mechanical and almost ritualistic, a offering to the children. There is a peaceful ambience as the enormous sculpture begins to take on the hint of a glowing chandelier. However, the mood quickly changes when the eggs enter on falling at an alarming rate. The overwhelming amount of eggs and the instant rate of falling are a metaphor for not only these brief life’s but the unthinkable and seemingly unstoppable amount of death.

The flames melt through the rubber, and eggs smash to the ground, before the outer rows are lit. Participants hastily perpetuate lighting the candles, startling and backing up when a flame goes haywire in front of them, or a row of eggs drops and hits their feet. The substantial of eggs hitting the floor adds a strange and disconcerting popping noise. The mood becomes unpredictable and antsy. Some bands catch fire but refuse to burn out, creating beneficent unruly flames. Some eggs still hang on, but tip over, as the supportive rubber bands are no longer holding them create. There are unusual char marks up the sides of the eggs. There are inky marks on the ceiling, where some of the rubber bands curled upward, unwilling to fire out. The insides of the eggs still contain remains of old yolk, and the smoky accommodation begins to fill with a stench of rotting eggs and burning rubber. The odd fragrance is reminiscent of death, or one may also acquaint images of the destruction of the conurbation, with only tire fires left burning in the streets after all are displaced from their homes. In the indisputable minutes of the performance, a few eggs are still holding on. The viewer becomes focused on the only outstanding life of the piece and a sense of anxiety fills the abide. There is a hopeful anticipation for the survival of the last few eggs, but each eventually crashes to the level.
