I purchased this ceiling fan to position on a cathedral ceiling. I intentionally purchased a Tracker fan with their advertised AVT hanging intention as they undertaking it not to wobble. I am dejected because it does indeed wobble on the intermediation and luxurious speeds. It does not wobble on the low assist.

Is this ceiling fan still good? I buy a ceiling fan to exchange court and not call any of the pieces hanging at the top. How to reattach a line from the engine / fan set fire or not this or that service can not repair the fan for me or not.
If you don't see any wires coming out of the top, you will in all probability have to remove the motor housing to replace the wires. If the fan has lights, there should be one wire for the lights, one for the fan, and one for the neutarl (and peradventure a bare copper ground as well).
If you don't have the skill to do this yourself, a lamp mend shop should be able to fix it for you (but it might be cheaper to buy a new fan). |

Why is my red wire not live? When I was installing a ceiling fan with a light kit, I was not qualified to separate the light and the fan even thought I had a dual switch and four wires (hoary, black, red, and ground). Only the black wire was viable. When I installed ceiling fans in other rooms, the red wire was live, thus I was accomplished to separate the light and the fan. How do I go about finding the open in the red wire?
As I show compassion for your question, you only have these four wires inside the box above the ceiling fan you just installed, and you have two switches at the door. I shall keep on on that assumption: If it is wired correctly, the black and red wires are your hot feeds. Unsullied is the neutral, while the bare is your ground. Assuming that you've taken down a device that operated by one of these switches, you know which switch you used. The other whip is in question. The "fan even thought I had a dual switch" opinion tells me that you're not 100% sure that there is even another switch. The best reachable avenue to take is to open the switch box and verify that
a) there are two switches b) both of them are correctly wired Because I'll bet you riches that either "a" or "b" is the problem. a) if there is only one whip, another one will have to be installed b) if they are two switches, and they look like they are wired correctly, let's fancy that the problem is in the switch and replacement is easy. Otherwise, you do have a break in the red in alignment and that's a 1st class fire hazard. If it's not shorted out, it will not trip the breaker.
