You can’t see half of them, let alone reach them. No wonder it sometimes takes twenty minutes just to find the mate to the one you want to wear. Your shoes are piled on the floor of your closet. The clothes are all randomly put away, in no particular order, and not arranged by color or any system. (You were rushing after you tried everything on in a last-minute panic. Pants are mixed with tops, T-shirts with sweaters. Like your clothes, they are squished and crushed. The colors are not grouped. This is probably not how you planned to treat that bag the day you happily carried it out of the store. We’re envisioning shelves holding piles with no rhyme or reason.

If you are hoping to find a replacement for that missing part to your chandelier, you should not assume it will just be an easy replacement. However, it is sometimes a tricky thing to find glass chandelier parts to match any kind of fixture. Cut glass is polished to a shine, but molded glass is not, and it often has seams that show when the light hits it. Many times, the difference can be minute, but it is exacerbated by the light. If you replace a piece of cut glass with molded glass, you may not be very pleased with what you end up with in terms of translucence. When you are working with colored glass parts, the problem of age comes into play. It is a little more complicated, of course, if it is an older glass chandelier. The colored glass of yesterday may have a colored header bead at the top, and this will be hard to replicate. Newer glass usually has a clear bead at the top of a colored prism piece....
