Connect it up the same way as the old one, in other words black to black and white to where the other black wire connected. If it has a bare wire or green wire connect it to the metal box or to the bare ground wire inside the fixture box.

How do I open an ornate porch lighting fixture to replace a blown bulb?I have a brass porch lighting fixture that has 5 glass panes in and ornate brass screws holding the panes on. There doesn't seem to be any way to get to the bulb without disassembling the entire fixture! Ant ideas?
I meant 'Any ideas'? There should be two brass screws on the top that allows you to only take the top off. Good luck!
