If you’re looking for an inexpensive lamp for your living room with a modern design this one might be it. Since it’s 150W it should illuminate a large living room, I use a 60W and it illuminates my living room perfectly. We replaced a cheap ($40) torchiere from Target with this lamp. It’s a pretty simple lamp, but for the price, it does exactly what we were looking for. The lamp is exactly as it appears in the picture. The prior lamp almost immediately bent under its own weight. This lamp is much more sturdy and has been reliable. The shade might surprise you a bit since when you take it out it seems like a cheap shade. It’s plastic but it works and it almost looks like a glass shade from afar. If you need it to illuminate a small or medium living room, it does the job.

Lamp stands a little over 63" to top of the shade, 58 1/4" to top of the heavy duty porcelain/ceramic socket that takes the large base light bulb, 52 1/2" to top of the receptacle where the lamp shade fitter sets. some spotting to the brass on the base but it is solid brass so will polish up. Underplate is cast brass with a thinner overplate that has the dent in it but you have to pop the lamp apart to get the dent out. there is a small dent at the lamp fitter where you see the holes drilled and also a dent in the top of the base. I have 5 variations of torchiere lamps listed and my bulb worked the same on all of them. These came out of a funeral home that closed up in the late 60's to early 70's and lamps have been in storage. Shade is 10 1/2" diameter by 12 1/4" tall. The brass center column in between the 3 purplish column really adds some pizazz to the design The colors and form all holler early midcentury modern but would also qualify for art deco. I have the mate to this one......

828 touch sensor torchiere floor lamp from target, can anyone work it???I bought this 828 touch sensor lamp from target and can not get it to work for the life of me. Has anyone ever bought this lamp or know anything about it???
If it's a touch sensor lamp it's suppose to work by touching it,try touching it on the metal parts with your hand.If it want come on I would take it back and swap it for another one...Make sure it's put together properly...
