Company donates illuminated street signs to Waynesboro
"It is our belief that our signs will have a very positive impact on improving traffic flow in the downtown area while improving public safety from the standpoint that a motorist will spend less time and attention trying to read a street name and... The signs are being donated by APX Enclosures/APX Sign-Tex out of Mercersburg to improve public safety. Waynesboro will be receiving 16 new LED illuminated street signs this Friday to improve traffic and pedestrian safety. These types of lighted signs are a relatively new development in traffic control, said Lloyd Hamberger, Waynesboro borough manager.

The LEDs need to be DOT approved. If they are DOT approved, then no ticket for you. There are a ton of them available on the market that ARE approved and they CANNOT give you a ticket for them.
