Why would a "touch" lamp not work(by touching it) after a globe has been replaced? I have 2 lamps affected.Two of my touch lamps globes went, and since replacing them with the same wattage globes,60 watt, they don't respond to touching to turn them on and off. I now have to use the wall switch to use them which is a nuisance.
Been there, had the same problem.
What has happened: There is a box in the base of the lamp that controls the touch feature. It has burned out possibly by the surge to a new bulb. Bottom line is the sensor don't last forever. You will |
