With an overall founding- fathers- meets- collegiate feel, and an emphasis on colonial heritage and conservative luxury-there’s just something so distinctly Americana about Boston. If you were lucky enough to go to school in Massachusetts, especially the Boston area, then you know that there’s a distinct New England sensibility towards design.

Try GOO GONE this is the name of the product, I use it on a lot of things paint, grease,road tar off my car ,,it works. try vinegar to get the tarnish of the brass,or try GOOF OFF product works pretty much the same as GOO GONE you can get it anywhere

how to paint used brass plated floor lamp with black paint and gold trim?There is some sort of lacquer on surface and some rust spots also. Do I use oil base or water base primer and then what?
First, wipe clean with lacquer thinner in a well ventilated area. If the lamp is actually brass, attempt to polish and/or buff it.It will be much more valuable if restored to orrigional brass.
