In fact, if I were to be completely forthcoming I currently have some half stripped wallpaper in my entryway waiting to be completely stripped so that I can put up new. However, as difficult as it is to get that #*@. paper stripped from my entryway, I will proudly hang the new as soon as I find it. The pain of removing the old will be forgotten when I open my door to fresh and glorious wallpaper. I agree that certain tiles can look too bathroom-like for a powder room, but if you and your husband use the correct tile in the correct application you can have your “jewel box” and pee in it, too. I gave up when it got challenging and because I haven’t sourced my new paper, I’ve not prioritized removing the old. I, too, have had to strip wallpaper and it’s no afternoon at the Dairy Queen.

Can't take fixtures off the wall to soak. How do I get the paint off?My home is 125 years old. They are wall sconces and I can't take them off the wall! How can I get the paint off?
I'm assuming they're metal. I would get a gel-type paint remover and carefully paint it on to the sconce, after taping the wall around the sconce to avoid getting paint remover on the wall, and put some heavy cloth or plastic or newspaper on the floor
